Byrne now introduces Bizarro. He's still a creation of Luthor's gone bad, but instead of the goofy doppleganger, which was very fun at times, Byrne hands us a Frankenstein type of tragic character. Also, Luthor learns for the first time that Superman is an alien, an whole issue before Clark.
| The Enemy Within! |
| The Mirror, Crack'd... (notice the pre-crisis Luthor battle suit. Nice Touch) |
| Sloppy |
| The king of the cover-up. |
| Uh-oh. Luthor learns that Superman is an alien before Superman does. |
| PERFECT!! |
| Like before, Luthor names the creature, but this time in Chinese no less. |
| Wordless panels usually speak the loudest. |
| Superman to the rescue, sort of. |
| You're not Superman! |
| Lucy Lane is saved from herself. |
| Lois has learned that when Clark is running after something, there's going to be a hell of a story. |
| That one hurt. |
| Okay handsome |
| Being on the receiving end of heat vision for once. |
| Superman getting rid of the clothes that could show his connection with Clark. |
| Lemme Go! |
| Bizarro realizing he's Lucy's cure. |
| Toe to toe |
| Superman using his noggin... |
| This is IT!! |
| This version of Bizarro is closer to being a Frankenstein version. Misunderstood, but capturing the essence of Superman's soul, at least the self-sacrificing part. |
